"how's the festival?"

mood: full :D

so my sister & i went to the fujioka(?) matsuri. there were kids walking down the street with festival clothes screaming stuff, i didn't understand. but it had to do with the shrine thing. we were too hot so we decided to stay home for the afternoon & come out at night when everything was set up. when it was time, we headed out & walked into a lantern-lit street with a bunch of food vendors. there were middle school kids + adults that were moving shrines from one temple to the other, so while they're carrying the shrine they jump up & down & spin around while this huge group of kids who are in the very back are screaming chants with their megaphones. it's really fun & there were so many shrines to move around. we met up with a bunch of my sister's students & i met another VK girl who's hair was doooooope! i loved it. anyways, we had this really good grilled chicken skin & whatnot. yum. & a steamed potato with margarine butter (: deeeeeelicious. & a couple of snowcones, green tea flavored! :D anyways, while we were watching the kids spin & whatnot while carrying the shrine, there was a camera crew filming them do it & a woman walks up to my sister & interviews her. YAY. haha so i just stood there & barely said anything. & it turns out that my sister got interviewed for a local cable TV show. then after we got omikuji's, which i LOVE LOVE LOVE & i got middle luck -_- my sister got excellent. i think that's all that happened today.
